Open Gate Church!
Whether you’ve been part of church for years, you’re returning after some time away, or you’re simply curious about faith and wondering what church is all about, you’re really welcome at Open Gate.
Our Sundays are a chance to gather together as a church family, worship God, hear from the Bible, pray together and spend time building genuine relationships. We’re a relaxed, welcoming and Bible-centred church, and we’d love to meet you.
You don’t need to know exactly what to expect, have all the answers, or dress a certain way. Just come as you are.

Parking
There is a small car park available at the Village Hall, and free parking is also available on the surrounding roads.
The venue is easy to find. Google Maps will bring you straight to us, and if you’re coming from the A45, Hardingstone is the first exit at the roundabout.
The Village Hall is wheelchair accessible and has a disabled toilet available.
What happens on a Sunday?
Every Sunday is a little different, but a typical morning looks something like this:

9:30am – Tea, coffee and time to chat before the service.

10:00am – We begin together with a welcome and any church news.

Sung worship – We worship through a mixture of older hymns and modern songs, led by our worship band.

Communion & offering – We regularly share communion together and have an opportunity for those who call Open Gate home to give.

Bible teaching – We spend around 45 minutes hearing practical, Bible-centred teaching that helps us know Jesus and live out our faith.

Response – We often finish by responding together through prayer or worship.

After the service – We stay for tea, coffee and conversation, and we'd love you to join us.
While this is our usual rhythm, we're not tied to a fixed order. We want to create space for God to work, so some Sundays may look a little different.
Gatehouse - Kids on Sundays
During our Sunday morning service, we love having the children in the main service for sung worship, communion and prayer alongside the whole church family.
Partway through the service the kids head out to their own engaging session. There, they explore the same passage of Scripture or theme that the adults are learning, but in a way that’s fun, interactive, and perfect for their age.
Our heart is to see families growing in God’s Word together. By learning from the same part of the Bible each week, we hope to spark great conversations: whether that’s around the dinner table later that day, during the car ride home, or anytime during the week.
It’s all about helping faith come alive in everyday family life and giving children a space where they can discover God’s love in a way that makes sense to them.
